This morning, I wrapped up a 60-day follow-up call with a recent cohort from one of the programs I facilitate, and what struck me most wasn’t just the progress participants have made; it was the clarity and insight they gained along the way.

Four themes emerged from our conversation that I think are worth sharing:

1. Structured reminders go a long way
Even with the best of intentions, after a program ends, life keeps moving, and it’s easy to forget the lessons you’ve learned. Participants shared how having a structured follow-up call served as a nudge, a way to reconnect with their intentions and the strategies they had learned. It reminded them that real, sustainable growth is ongoing, not a one-time event.

2. You’re not alone
One participant shared their sense of relief when their peers could relate to the issues they were experiencing. It’s a powerful realization, isn’t it, to learn that we’re not ‘the only one’? The challenges they faced weren’t unique. Everyone struggles, everyone feels stretched, and no one has it all figured out — despite appearances. That shared understanding can be liberating.

3. The power of community
Beyond shared understanding, there is the gift of learning how others have navigated the issues you are currently facing. Participants noticed that being part of a group that genuinely wants to see them succeed changed the experience entirely. It’s not just about accountability — it’s about encouragement, shared wisdom, and the reassurance that someone else is rooting for you.

4. Prioritization is everything
Finally, participants acknowledged the reality that time is finite. We all have the same 24 hours, and it’s up to us to decide what deserves our focus. The follow-up conversation created space for them to reflect on: what aspirations truly matter, and what steps are they willing to take to make their goals happen?

If you’ve ever felt like you’re trying to navigate your goals alone or struggling to stay on track, know this: reflection, community, and deliberate prioritization can make all the difference.

Reading this and thinking ‘I need this kind of accountability and community’? Me too! Which is why I’m building something. Not ready to share publicly quite yet, but if you want early details, send me a message.
